HOTEL, RESTAURANT AND CATERING SERVICES DEPARTMENT

Hotel, Restaurant and Catering Services Department has got two programs. These programs are Tourism and Hotel Management and Culinary. In the department, there are one associate,  three specialized instructors, three lecturers and  one specialist.

The cookery program ofAmasyaUniversityVocational Schoolwas established in 2008.  The cookery program aims to educate students with knowledge about international cuisine, knowledge of modern methods of cooking and food production process and preparing food and also mange the food establishment. The program’s also aims to contribute to the Turkish cuisine that is very important in Turkish culture with high quality practical cuisine training with well equipped kitchen and food labs.  The program provides the food preparing training with practical manner and also theoretical training in the classes to offer the students to express their self.

Admission & Registration Requirements

To have a high school diploma. 

Transition to Higher Education Examination (YGS) and get enough points by OSYM

Recognation Of Prior Learning
The program can be obtained without examination, and examination of students. Without an examination of Tourism to benefit from the transition to graduate from high school. To settle at least a high school graduate examination biocompatibility YGS placed as a result of taking enough points by OSYM.
Qualifications Requirements And Regulations
Program (a total of 120 ECTS credits) successfully complete all courses, have a GPA of at least 2.00 out of 4.00 and two at a time individually `ar 30 business days to complete the internship program.
Profile Of The Programme
Within the program, 2 computers, 1 tongue, 1 laboratory food and beverage (restaurant, bar, kitchen) are available.
Examinations, Assesment And Grading Regulations
 Students midterm exams, homework, final and are subjected to an evaluation of rounding up. Midterm exam 40%, final or rounding up is 60% of the final grade. All exams are graded out of 100. Or make-up final exam are required to obtain at least 50 points. The passing grade is 60 `. Cookery course program implementation and the theoretical structure of the intermediate and final exams can be applied to some extent.  
Graduation Requirements

Occupational Profiles Of Graduates
 Students who graduate from the program at the front desk and housekeeping departments of hotels, restaurant and food and beverage establishments, providing catering service companies, hospitals, public institutions, has the possibility of finding a job accommodation facilities.
Access To Further Studies

Student  can go on studying at  horizontal and vertical line with the relevant legislation. DGS exam must be placed in the top rankings in transition to formal education. if thy want to enter   Anadolu University Open Education Faculty, they can pass third class directly
